The daughter and I are fighting off a nasty cough/cold so not much has been going on around here.
I was excited to see that my Serendipity quilt was featured on the Modern Day Quilts blog the Friday just gone. Suuuper excited.
Although I'm spending most spare minutes in bed, I've managed a little work on another baby blanket (their bub was born a few weeks early so I'd better get a wriggle on).
Yes, another disappearing 9 patch. This time in super spring-y colours.
I feel healthier just looking at it.

I love that there are flies crawling on the squares... I hate flies, but somehow fabric ones are ok :) Very springy!
I love that fly fabric and the colors! Hope you feel better soon....:)
Maaaaaaaan, they're supposed to be bees on honeycomb. Does anyone think they look like bees or am I kidding myself? I can't give a fly blown quilt!!
Hope the lovely dose of citrus (vitamin C) from your quilt does the trick...get better soon! I knew they were bees!
Bonjour Kirsty - hope you are feeling better soon and can get back to the things you love - no! it looks like bees not flies.
congrats on the featuring, it deserves it! Love the new spring colors and get well soon, both of you...
love, Maaike
I saw your quilt featured - fabulous.
Love the citrus colours of this one, very pretty.
Lovely, lovely fabric! And I thought "bees" when I saw the one fabric with the honeycombs, not "flies", for what it's worth. :-)
Phew, glad some folks think bees - I think that maybe the yellow colourway is the safest with this print. With the green you don't automatically think bees, whereas with yellow they really can't be anything else.
Oh, I'm sorry to hear you girlies are sick. Hope you're on the mend.
A Suuuuuper Big congratulations for being featured for your quilt! I can def understand why it was, so pretty.
And I love the new one...the colors are right up my street.
And you know I love the bees!

I'm sorry to hear you're sick! I hope you and your daughter will feel better, soon!! Congratulations on the quilt feature!! So cool! :-) I love the fabrics and palette for your current project! The cobblestones match the BEEs (I see bees, too) and honeycombs perfectly!
