I made it for Maaike who blogs at CreJJtion and who made this beautiful crocheted baby blanket for me when the baby was born:
Back when he was teeny tiny
I'm excited for Maaike as she has a new shop on Etsy offering crochet patterns and her gorgeous (and customisable) baby blankets. The perfect handmade gift for a new baby!
We visited Sara Louise in Le Petit Village this weekend, where I took lots of photos.
With those pics added to the ones from our Spring Trip, I have photos out the wazoo at the moment. I'm working my way through them and will have some up shortly.
Hope you all had a good weekend - have a great Monday!
P.S. McSigh. Have you seen this? I feel like a French icon has been sullied.

There's nothing petit about the view

I was up in the valley this weekend too. Sunday the wind was so awful it made me sick to my stomach. Bizarre. "Le vent rend fou"....it's so true. Sounds like a lovely weekend.
Yep, the McBaguette is all wrong, but everything else here is beautiful. I really like your embroidery - so effective.
The vista in the last photo is stunning! Not petit at all! Magnifique! Your embroidery is perfect too!
Gorgeous embroidery! and totally cute bebe.
Mc Bagette didnt come through...guess I'm not missing anything?
Your embroidey is stunning, white on beige is very elegant, and look at the variety of stitches!
I also like the volets turquoises in the view,so French.
And for a gluten free girl like me, the McBaguette looks VERY appealing...sorry!
Totally fav'riting that embroidery project!!! It's exactly the kind of thing I love to do. Beautiful work and lovely stitches! Looking forward to more pics!
Mmm... the design of that embroidery piece is very clever. Lovely!
Love the embroidery! France is the only place my mum has ever conceded to walk into McDonalds - because they have beer, and had salad long before they did elsewhere ;o)
i love your embroidered piece Kirsty
Embroidery too? Seriously, is there anything you can't do??!
Looking forward to more piccies from your Spring trip...that view is to-die-for!

Hey! That's my archway.
Confession: I've eaten the McBaguette and it's freaking delicious! And guess what? I'm going to Manosque today and now I know what I'm eating for lunch!
(there will be jogging tomorrow... lots and lots of jogging) x
McBaguette?? I can't wait to show my students this one!
Lovely sampler! Maaike's blanket is really beautiful, too with all those gorgeous colours! And I really like the colours in the pic with the archway.
I have to say that I don't object at all the the occasional Big Mac, but McBaguette seems just wrong somehow ...
Looking forward to your travel pics! :-)
Such beautiful embroidery! It must have taken ages
GORGEOUS embroidery piece!
