For getting Nato's gift to her safe and sound.
As well as sending the magazine she'd won, I also whipped up a quick bag to put it in.
The fabric is from Heather Bailey's Pop Garden line. I was keen on using red that morning, I think it was because of that habanero chilli I ate the night before.
I used the Simple Bag pattern in Joelle Hoverson's book Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts.
You can see several of the projects on the back here - Nato's bag is bottom middle.
Looking at Nato's site I could see she also likes beading, so I sent her some things from my stash to experiment with. There is some chalchedony (tubes), amazonite (ovals), aquamarine (rondelle/button shape), smoky quartz and the briolettes are a synthetic quartz in a deep forest/sea green.
Have fun Nato!

Love your bag, love your generosity, love love LOVE! I wish I had the talent to just whip up a beautiful bag!!
Girls, you SO could do this - it was a great, easy little pattern. And I've seen what you can make Belinda, it surely must be easier than a beaded filigree ring on a hand made ring base!
Oh, what a pretty bag and the fabrics are just beautiful. I spent yesterday tiding up my 'playroom', too much stash of wool and fabrics to go through but a joy for the senses!
I didn't know this book, it seems quite inspiring.
Lovely bag! I don't think I know that fabric - is it new? You are very generous Kirsty!
