Oh Sleep, Sleep, Wherefore Art Thou Sleep?

Firstly, thank you so much for all your well wishes on the arrival of the baby - you guys are the greatest!

We are slowly getting ourselves into a bit of a routine; a very low key one that involves a lot of catnaps (and I'm talking about me here, not the baby).

Here he is chilling out on the pixelated quilt because I still haven't finished his yet, poor fourth child. It should be finished soon enough as I found a little time to work on it this weekend (visiting relatives took the bigger kids off our hands).

Otherwise, we have been enjoying some luverly flowers (courtesy of my parents):

And the whole clan took the baby on his first tour of the vineyard down the road from our house:

The vines were well into producing this year's harvest:

And there were plenty of other things for the kids to explore.

I love this view over our village from the end of our road:

Hope you've all had a great weekend with lots of lovely long sleeps. Bonne semaine!

There isn't much sleep to be had with a new baby is there! I remember those tired days when my babies were little. He certainly is a gorgeous baby and love the photo of him on the quilt.
You live in a beautiful part of the world. The view of your village is stunning. Thank you so much for sharing.

What a gorgeous little man! At least you are getting some catnaps - just have to stretch them out a bit.

I'm even more jealous now, your village looks so pretty.

I wish I lived nearer so that I could help you a little in this very demanding moment.
I admire your spirit: taking pictures, thinking of doing some sewing...you are amazing!

Oh, he is a dear little man! I hope you continue to get those much needed naps! (At my age we call them 'nana naps'!!) Your photos, as ever, are also beautiful! And what a pretty little village! Ah, I miss France!

When my babies were small, I was a sleep junkie. It was all I could think about as I went through the seemingly never-ending cycle of feeding, washing nappies etc. You've even managed to do some sewing! Don't know how you do it all. Your photos once again make me want to jump on a plane right now and head to France. Simply gorgeous.

He is just beautiful! The vineyard looks stunning, as does the view. I just wanted to let you know your lampshade with bunting is just the best! I'm all grown up but I want to make that for my bedroom, I have a large paper shade just like that one that could do with pimping up... Em x

Now that I've recovered gazing at that precious one, I can get my breath and tell you how much I love your blog. Your photographs are spectacular. I am going to be a faithful ( well probably hit and miss) follower from now on.

Congratulations! And still you blog! (Now I feel really bad that I haven't blogged - or read a blog - for a month, just because I've 'been busy'!)
Well done - you're an inspiration.

Awwww Kirsty, warmest congratulations on the arrival of your beautiful boy. Well huffed and puffed! What a sweetheart garden gnome he is. So happy for you that he is here safely. Another lovely child to add to your brood of lovelies :) Very impressed that you managed a walk in the vineyards so soon after the huffing - well done you! Hope you are staying sane and getting some sleep. Best wishes to you and your family, Ros x

Congrats on your new baby! Also congrats on the region you chose live in. Where others (me at least) dream of as a holiday region... I am a new follower and am looking for more great pictures, and will definitely read back through the archive :-)
