Another week goes by...

Sorry it's been a whole week - I don't know where the time has gone. But there has been some sewing, prepping for our ski holiday next week and a baby with an ear infection.

On the ear infection - I forgot to specify to the doctor I wanted the baby's antibiotics in oral form and therefore received suppositories (the French loooove their suppositories for some reason, they are very rare in Australia). Needless to say, the baby and my's relationship has felt the tension. Never before have we both approached the change table with such trepidation, which is saying a lot given some of that kid's epic poos. Thankfully his course finishes tonight.

I finally completed the hand binding on the pinwheel quilt for my son (photos to follow) and have been working on those triangles.

I also wanted to say congratulations to the lovely Belinda Saville, whose blog I have followed since my beading days (pre-quilting).

She has opened her etsy shop and it is full of just the most lovely silver and bead jewellery around.

Being the sweetheart that she is I was always going to give her shop a plug, so how lucky for me she is also running a giveaway. If you pop over and leave her a comment before Valentine's Day you could win one of her beautiful silver pieces.

Congrats again Belinda, wishing you every success!

Well, it will be quiet around here next week as we are off for a week skiing (or not skiing if you are pregnant). The kids are enrolled in ski school as it's their first time on the slopes, and the baby will be experiencing his first daycare (mornings only). Should be a piece of cake after the bottom crimes he's had to endure this week. And I am hoping to spend those mornings off taking lots of pictures and getting some hand sewing done.

Remember my nemesis? Well, he's coming with us.

Have a great week everyone! Will be back with lots of photos next week.

Have a lovely holiday Kirsty. I hope you are able to make some headway into the cathedral windows.
Ha I'd forgotten about the French love of suppositories.
I love the colours of the HST's, I really need to make something bright!

Come on Kirsty you can do it this time!! Just focus on the end result, it's going to be so amazing to see finished and we'll be there to give you plenty of claps at the finish line.

Your poor little lad, I hope he's feeling much better now. I've used suppositories on one of our babies before and I got quite good at getting it in fast, and not having it come out! Such a funny thing to have to do. Sorry to hear you are out of the skiing but good to hear you'll still get a holiday. Have a great time in the snow.

And oh my gosh, I can't believe I missed your big news...congrats on bubba no. 4!!! How absolutely exciting :-))) I hope that you're travelling well and that the morning sickness fairy hasn't been around to your place lately. Congrats honey, very very exciting!

Loving the pinwheel quilt, and your nemesis looks a.m.a.z.i.n.g. It will be well worth the effort and choice words when you see this baby finished!
