Magazine Giveaway

Today's giveaway is brought to you by: my stupidity.

You see, I subscribe to two French lifestyle/home decorating magazines (was hard to choose just two). I always forget which two, but I have a good memory for the covers, so if I was to say, ahem, sneak into the newsagent to buy an extra mag, I would know which I already have.

In Australia one of the perks of subscribing is getting your mag at home before it hits the stands. I thought this would be the same in France, so when I was in my local presse and saw an unfamiliar yet gorgeous cover, I bought it.

And two days later, the same magazine arrived in my mail box.

But hey, my stupidity is your gain, non?

giveaway1

The magazine is called Prima Maison - I'm not sure if it's sold anywhere else in the world, but at least this way I'll pay to post it to you!

giveaway4
It always gives me lots of ideas for decorating, quilting, sewing, crafting, cooking - you name it.

giveaway3

Disclosure: it's all in French. I know, duh, but I'm just saying - I don't want anyone getting cranky when I send them a magazine all writ in for'ner talk.

So if you think this would interest you, leave me a comment and I'll pick a name out of the hat around 9 am on Friday morning, French time. (7pm Friday night Sydney time, 4am Friday morning New York time, boy this international stuff is complicated.)

giveaway2

If you're looking for something to say in your comment, why not let me know what brings you here:

1. The crafty/sewing stuff
2. The French stuff
3. All of it, baby, yeah!

And to those who drop by this blog and live in France, feel free to comment as well - if you win I will whip you up a little something instead for a prize (seeing as you can just wander down and pick up your own copy for less than 4€)

Bonjour! I would love to have your magazine, and as I speak French, I would even be able to read it! I came over here from ... ooh, I've forgotten where! A Pleasant Home? But I came because I wanted to see what you'd been making and was interested to see where in France you live - I went to university in Toulouse myself.

I lived in France for a while and am so sad that I can't get the magazines in the States easily. I would LOVE to win.

Oh that was silly! Sort of thing I'd do!! It looks like a lovely magazine to give away. Thank you for thinking of us! I come here because you have such stylish tastes and you are friendly and welcoming. Please can you pop my name in your hat? Thanks.

I bought a copy of that mag last year in marseilles airport, I don't speak or read french but just loved all the pics and articles. I still have it sitting by my bed and occasionaly look through it and gaze longingly at all the lovely item advertised. So please please put my name in your hat. Thanks

I would love to enter your giveaway - I speak a little French (and for the rest, there's Google translate, oui?). It looks like a very pretty magazine. (And I totally understand the duplicate magazines thing - perhaps you would like one of my two 5/2010 and 6/2010 Burdas? How did I do that? Two months in a row?)

I like visiting your blog for both the crafty/sewing and French stuff (and the humour!).

I love French magazines, but don't know this one yet. I found your blog through someone else's, (was it Pleasant Home?) and now I come back everyday. I like everything about it, the French stuff, the crafty stuff and the gorgeous pictures.

Pleased I am not the only one to do that ! Love anything French, especially fabrics and decorating....can't speak a word of french...isn't that what google translate is for? :)

I'm coming for all of it, baby! This magazine would be handy, not just for the pretty pictures, but also to help me brush up on my French in anticipation of a visit next spring.

I'm here for it all baby, too. I love your crafty tips, and who doesn't love all things French! I can read French, my accent is dreadful, and thanks for the opportunity to put my name in the hat.

Bonjour from Oz, Kirsty! I am here for it all too! I have really loved all the photographs of Provence.
I love the look of all the peeks you have given of the magazine!!! They look very inspiring.
DH speaks French, so I have a translator right here. lol!

PS I did the same as you with a Quiltmania magazine....bought one and got another in the post, then had a giveaway!

I would LOVE to have your duplicate!! I brought magazines home with me after a visit to France a couple of years ago -- I still read them often. Keeps me somewhat bilingual -- Ha! I'm a newbie blogger and found your blog when it was featured on Sew Many Ways -- I love your pics! Makes me miss Normandy all that much more... Thanks for writing!!

Well lets see. Came across you via an Australian connection. Always dreaming of buying a little cottage in Brittany. Did take 5 years of French, and a little bit of craft thrown in never goes amiss. So the mag would be great.

I blame all of my brain losses on being pregnant for 2 years straight. Count me in for the drawing

All of it, baby! And your sense of humor. I don't really need a French magazine to remind me how much French I can't remember. (Although I will never forget any possessive adjectives thanks to Sr. Florence.) I can always look at the pictures.

I love everything about your blog. With regards to the magazine, yes please! I once received a subscription to Marie Claire Idees as a gift, but have let my subscription lapse because I don't remember enough school French to renew it.

I love your blog - the crafty projects and your life in France. We lived near Versailles for a year about 10 years ago and your experiences are reminding me of our time there.

I don't read French and I'm all the way in Malaysia but I love the pics you've shown of the magazine. I was directed to your blog via another blog (can't remember which :( I have too many on my Google Reader). Just wanna let you know that I really enjoyed the way you went about this giveaway. Love your sense of humour!

Since I'm not crafty in the least bit, I like to see what you're up to and to see if any of your craftiness might rub off on me!
And of course I come for the French stuff too! :-)

What a perfect way to exercise my so rusty french. My son loves to read to him in other languages, and english is not his favorite :). And if, in the meantime, I get to see coll pics, this would be great for everybody :)

And I'm here for, well, all of them. Found you on flickr and now I just love to read you :)

I love anything French .. and have many wonderful friends living in Paris. I met my friends through blogging and since then we have met up and stayed with each other. There is now a great group of them and they all meet up , either for coffee or picnics on the Seine, walking in Paris ..etc etc,

I came here via an email sent to me from my friend Leesa from Paris. The magazine looks super, don't think we can buy it in the UK ..
